The 37-th annual Physicist’s Day was held on Friday 12 of April in V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. On the eve of the event, a football tournament was held. It was attended by teams of students, teachers and graduates.

   The holiday started at 7:30 AM in front of main building of the university with interesting games and competitions. Everyone could buy T-shirts, badges and magnets with symbols of Physicist’s Day on it. The completion of the event was the ceremonial launch balloons with “PhysFac is the champion” poster in the sky.

   At 14:00 there was a press conference, where students could ask the teachers the most ridiculous questions and get no less extravagant answers, because the Faculty of Physics teachers have a great humor sense.
   The ending of the official part was a concert, which was held at the Assembly Hall, where Acting Dean of Faculty of Physics Oleg Shekhovtsov and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dmitry Rokhmistrov awarded best students and teachers of the year.

   At 7:00 PM a column of 200 people with torches moved from the campus toward Sarzhin Yar park. At the park, first-year students took an oath of a Physicist and underwent a rite of passage to the physicists. It wasn’t easy because of the seniors, which dropped them back into the cold stream.

   The finale of The 37-th annual Physicist’s Day was a party at Gold Lion club, where also hosted “Miss Physicist’s Day” contest.
