Born on September 13, 1954 in Kharkiv.
In 1977, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Kharkiv State University named after O.M. Gorky.
Candidate's thesis "Theory of ion cyclotron and drift turbulence of radially inhomogeneous rotating plasma". Scientific supervisor: Prof. Mykhailenko V.S. (1991).
Doctoral thesis "Instabilities and turbulence of plasma with ion flows along and across the magnetic field" (2014).
For students of the Faculty of Physics, he lectures on the courses "Fundamentals of vector and tensor analysis", "Methods of mathematical physics", "Nonlinear physics", "Fundamentals of the theory of random processes"
