Of the biography.

   Graduated from the Phys.-Math. Faculty of the Ushgorod State University on speciality “Physics” in 1964. Postgraduate study on speciality “X-ray analysis” at Physics of Solids Department – in 1965-1969. The theses “Electronographic study on surface and volume diffusion in systems of various types of equilibrium diagram” and “Impurity effects in condensed films based on Titanium” were defended in 1969 (Candidate of Sciences) and 1989 (Doctor of Sciences), respectively. He worked as an Assistant Professor (1969-1971) and Associate Professor (1972-1990), a Full Professor (1990-2004), Deputy vice-president (1993-1995), and Vice-president (1999-2003); since 1994 – the Head of the Physics of Solid Department in the Kharkiv University.

   Scientific interests: physics of thin films, surface phenomena in ultrahigh getter-ion systems, impurity effects in solids. Since 1997 – physics processes in biomaterials. He has over 150 scientific papers, 9 inventors certificates and a patent for invention. He is the author of two textbooks with the recommendation of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine:

   Teaching courses: Fundamentals of the structural crystallography, Microscopy and spectroscopy of solids, and Entrance to the biomaterials science.
